On Thursday, October 18th at the Department of Ecology will host a public meeting at the Veterans Memorial Museum.
From 6p-6:30p people will be invited to walk around asking questions of technical experts about various aspects of the four alternatives.
At 6:30p DOE will present an overview of the process and the alternatives. Then, the public hearing will start around 7p. Citizens will be given a 3 minute time limit.
There will also be court reporters at the meeting so that citizens will have the option of giving their statement directly to the court reporter, one on one, so that they don’t have to speak in front of the whole meeting. Comments will be made part of the official record just as if they had spoken at the Mic. Its a good option for people who can’t stay for the whole meeting or who don’t want to have to speak in public.
